The Sebring Florida area is brimming with fun-filled events…
October includes Oktoberfest, with beer tasting, German food, music and fire department competitions and demonstrations; and Barktoberfest, an annual pet adoption event with raffles and a veterinarian questions and answer session. There is also the Annual Haunted Hammock, a terror tram tour through the Hardwood Hammock Forest, carnival-style games, live entertainment, a costume contest and Halloween fare.
The Highlands Fine Arts Festival is held in early November every year in historic downtown Sebring’s Circle Park. Kick off shopping season with over 80 artisans, live music, street theater and delicious dishes from local restaurants. The Crazy Pepper Chili Cook-off is scheduled for November 12th in conjunction with the Sebring Classic Car Show and Cruise.
In December, there’s the Highlands Bike Fest, with three days of bicycle touring throughout scenic Central Florida; and the Cookie Fest, where children are invited to decorate holiday cookies and write letters to Santa at the Highlands Art League.
The fun never ends in Sebring. Ongoing events include an indoor flea market in Downtown Sebring every Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The second Friday of each month is the Lake Country Car Cruise and a car show is held every second Saturday monthly. Don’t forget to check out the schedule for Highland Museum art exhibits, the Music in the Park Concert Series at Highlands Hammock Park, the Circle Theater of Sebring and art classes for adults and children held by the Highlands Art League.
